Hoover Lacrosse as a club sport at Hoover does not receive any funding from the school for the lacrosse team. Bucs Lacrosse, Inc., is a 501(c)3 company (meaning contributions to it are tax deductible), who’s eight member Board helps raise money for the boys to play. Each year, we have three major ways to fund the program:

  1) We receive a portion of the registration fee paid to GBYLA
  2) We have an auction (parent check your email soon for more info about the auction scheduled for 2/17)
  3) We get sponsorships from businesses and individuals in the community.

All money raised goes straight to funding the program.

This year, we have added an incentive program. Any player getting $1000 in sponsorships with automatically receive a $200 refund of a portion of his registration fee ($200 will pay for several nice dates). Second, the two players who raise the most in sponsorships will receive a Visa gift card (1st--$300 and 2nd $150). Rebate offer does not apply to players who have a parent on the Bucs Lacrosse Board. Below is a letter describing the incentive program. Also below are two sponsorship forms. One is for smaller businesses and individuals and the other is for businesses that you think can afford more. Please review this information and try your best. As indicated in the attached letter, parents’ employers, doctors, pediatricians, local restaurants, etc., are all good sources of sponsorships. Fundraising is never easy and is never fun; however, if everyone makes an effort, it relieves the burden on a few to find the necessary funding. Thanks again in advance. GO BUCS!
