Announcement: 2017 Strength Training Partnership

Lacrosse season is right around the corner, and I am pleased to announce a new partnership with Warehouse Performance Institute. As I am sure many are aware, our club status does not allow us access to the High School weight room facilities. And a proper strength training regimen is important to the success of any Lacrosse program. WPI has made themselves available to help us meet this need. 

This program is 100% optional to all players. However I highly recommend participation if possible. ​If players do attend these workouts, they will be excused from preseason conditioning. We had near 100% participation from our Seniors who completed a test run with WPI this past week. The feedback I received from them, and what I witnessed, was great and indicates WPI will be a great asset to our team. It will be challenging workouts, and the trainers intensity is what we need to accomplish our goal of a 2017 State Championship!

  • Head Trainers:
       • Mike McCoy- Former Football player at the university of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and trainer at IMG Academy
       • Ryan Romano - Former D1 wrestler at West Virginia and Hoover Alumni

Program:
  • Start date: Training for everyone next week, Nov 14th. We will find a makeup date for our Preseason meeting on 11/17
  • Length: November through the end of January. 
  • Sessions: Players have the option of attending 2x a week or 3x a week. I recommend 3x a week for this first 4 week period. Sessions last for one hour. Only workout clothes and gym shoes are required. 
  • Payment Plan: Money will be due at the first training session, and at every 4 weeks so can maintain flexibility in conjunction with our normal practices.  
  • Cost: $75 per ​player for 8 sessions. $100 per player for 10 sessions. Cash or checks are accepted. 
Time Slots and Groupings: 
  • We have the following evening options available:
       • Monday: 3:30 or 5:15
       • Tuesday: 3:30 or 5:15
       • Wednesday: 4:30
       • Thursday: 3:30 or 5:15
  • Feedback: If you wish to participate, please fill out the follow form so we can gather player availability. Sorry for the short notice but please have this to me by Sunday 11/13 at 6:00 pm
  • Groupings: Sunday night I will assign groups based on availability and ages of the players. I will do my best to accommodate any requests. 
Paperwork: If you plan on attending the program, please download and complete fill out the WPI form linked below. DO NOT worry about filling out the payment section on the first page.
